When it comes to improving productivity, there are plenty techniques available. Which is absolutely useful. This blog zooms out and look at the problem holistically, and give you a framework through which you can analyze and to pin down the underlying issues on productivity and then go ahead and choose the techniques which works for you.

Attention span:
- Set a reminder before you allow yourself to scroll Instagram reels or Facebook shorts
- Increase your attention span: Attention span is one of the rapidly reducing mental facility , there are plenty recommendations available such as meditating, exercise, mindful living etc., to improve once attention span
Procrastination:
- When you observe that you are procrastinating on something, try to understand the why part of it; may be you feel it is too difficult, may be you feel it is boring. Strategize your fight against procrastination based on the why. My example ABAP, music as you clean the house.
- Maintain your health at optimum, if you are tired all the time to perform optimum
- This one is specifically useful when dealing with difficult projects, tasks. Keep a note/ diary of toughest tasks you accomplished. When you feel overwhelmed by a task, read through this note or diary, this will give you enough motivation to get started.
Your social circle:
As motivational speaker Jim Ron said, You are the average of 5 people whom you spend the most time with! So surround yourself with productivity focused peers and high achievers. You will be automatically pushed to more productive habits.
Having a vision, a big picture:
When you don’t know why you are doing what you are doing, how will you be able to stay focused and motivated to accomplish something?
Be it personal goals or professional, know your why!
If you are working on some task at work, know how it is contributing to the overall outcome of the project. If you want to exercise every single day, have a strong personal reason why you want to do so. Is it for a healthy and long life which will help support your family and enjoy more time with them? Is it because you want to participate in a marathon? Knowing these whys will help you be motivated to do whatever you set out to do.
Your health:
Maintaining your health optimum is one of the key thing you should be focusing on, if you want to be a high productive individual.
Once you nail down all the above, you can follow well known techniques like 10 minutes timer, easiest thing first, breaking down the task into manageable chunks etc.
And always remember, your productivity is not my productivity; productivity could look differently for each person.
